Founder & President

KT is a hard-working professional who have held many positions in PR, Marketing and Comms for over a decade.

From the FIFA World Cup 2010 in South Africa, to New York Fashion Week to Love & Hip -Hop,

she worked all over the world and gained tremendous experience before landing in Advertising.

Born and raised in Paris -France, from Congolese parents (DRC);

KT moved to the US for her undergraduate degree and attended

the Reynolds School of Journalism at the University of Reno, Nevada (UNR).

An international student, she faced many challenges and had to readapt to a new country,

language, culture and a new environment.

She escaped the bullying and loneliness by expressing herself through fashion,

by creating looks that captures her French - Congolese style and American swag she saw on TV.

She remained a successful student, and found time to empower

and mentor younger underrepresented women via her

her co-founded NGO: DreamGirls International Outreach and Mentoring Program.

The program promoted and empowered young underrepresented women to attend institutions of higher education

and become strong role models in their community,

by leading mentoring programs and participating in activities with women who are community leaders.

In 2011, president Bill Clinton announced the launch of DG Intl': the first internal chapter in South Africa.

Now called “Dream Girls Academy” and fully operated by the SA team,

over 750 teen girls and young women across Johannesburg, Cape Town, Welkom and Polokwane

have been empowered through the organization and graduated from the mentorship program.

On and off campus, KT was actively engaged in efforts related to social and racial issues, as well as human rights.

She worked closely with the Northern Nevada International Center (NNIC) on projects such as

the Mandela Washington Fellowship and the Algerian Youth Leadership Program (AYLP),

both programs sponsored by the U.S. Department of State.

After graduation she moved to NYC - where she started as retail employee and then became a celebrity stylist,

and worked with stars like Aubrey Plaza, Emma Stone and Courtney Love.

During that time, she crafted marketing campaigns and hosted in-store campaigns to drive sales and styling sessions.

In parallel she found a deep interest for marketing and enrolled at New York University (NYU) and finished

at Stern School of Business with a focus in digital marketing before starting her career in project management.

She worked at some of the top advertising agencies in NYC such as

MRM-McCann, VMLY&R and is currently working at Droga5.

An advocate of women’s empowerment and employees of color,

during her career and journey through the corporate world, she was often the only Black African woman.

That triggered a desire to not only break corporate stereotypes and create spaces for herself,

but also ensure that people of all background, feel confident, safe and equipped with the right tools to succeed in their career.

As a result she founded, A Dope Femme|

a sisterhood for women of color & allies professionals in senior and leadership position,

to celebrate, share and grow their magic by arming them with the right tools

to empower themselves and their communities.

For the past few years, KT took a personal oath to embody diversity and inclusion

and use her personal experience and skills to actively impact mind-sets, workplaces and individuals.
